BLUEYS through to next Round of FFA Cup

April 11, 2019

The Blueys continued their romance with the #FFACup with a hard fought win against NPL 2 side Rydalmere Lions by four goals to two on Wednesday night at Cawley Park. Tarra came out of the blocks flying and full-back Jake Morlando scored a screamer from 22 metres just five minutes in. The visitors conceded an own goal ten minutes later and the writing appeared to be on the wall as they had trouble coping with the Blueys onslaught.

The Lions hung there & some poor defending by Tarrawanna saw an easy tap in eight minutes before the interval. The visitors made the better start of the second period and drew level on 52' with a delightful move for their second. The Blueys edged ahead again when Sam Munro finished a great attacking movement, heading home from close range. Yuse Marayama made the game safe 15 minutes later when he rounded off a great move to complete the scoring and send the Blueys into Round Five of this year's Nationwide Cup competition. #MagicoftheCup

Review of IPL Round 21 vs Woonona Sharks

August 18, 2018

In the Penultimate Round of the 2018 IPL, the Blueys were able to get the better of the Sharkies over three tightly contested affairs. With one round to play, our First Grade side who will finish in 6th position, got home on the back of an eary goal from Liam Unicomb.

The U23's never really looked in danger of losing and won courtesy of goals from Alex Coetzer and Takumi Machida with Woonona scoring a late consolation from the penalty spot in stoppage time. In the early game, neither side was able to find the back of the net in a dour scoreless Youth Grade fixture.

1st Grade - Tarrawanna Blueys 1 v  Woonona Sharks 0 (Blueys Goal : Liam Unicomb)

Under 23's - Tarrawanna Blueys 2 v  Woonona Sharks 1 (Blueys Goals : Alex Coetzer, Takumi Machida)

Under 19's - Tarrawanna Blueys 0 v Woonona Sharks 0

Review of IPL Round 18 vs Corrimal Rangers

July 22, 2018

Old Boys & Ladies Day saw us entertain Corrimal Rangers in the Local Derby which resulted in three close Matches with the spoils being shared at the end of the day.
Four goals in 15 minutes early in the game produced a 2 - 2 draw in First Grade with not much between the two sides at the end of 90 minutes as the scoreline suggests.

In the U23's, the visitors had to come from behind and snatched a late winner in a five-goal thriller whilst our U19's prevailed 1-0 with defender Max Allan being 'Johnny on the Spot' in a goal mouth scramble very late in the piece.

1st Grade - Tarrawanna Blueys 2 v  Corrimal Rangers 2 (Blueys Goals : Brad Acev (2))
Under 23's - Tarrawanna Blueys 2 v  Corrimal Rangers 3 (Blueys Goals : Alex Coetzer, OG)
Under 19's - Tarrawanna Blueys 1 v Corrimal Rangers 0 (Blueys Goal : Max Allan)
