April 09, 2020

Three years ago, Tarrawanna Soccer Club celebrated it's 50 year anniversary after being re-born from the embers of Tarrawanna Sweethearts Soccer Club, which operated in the area from early in the 20th Century.

In recent years the Club has been affectionately known as Tarrawanna Blueys, with a Blue Cattle Dog the central figure of our Logo. It only seemed fitting the Club should formalise this image on our emblem and our recent history, with the present day Committee & Members moving a change of name.

This has now been ratified through Service NSW and Incorporation, so we are pleased to announce the Club is now known as TARRAWANNA BLUEYS FC. Johnny Warren would be pleased !!

The Blueys two senior sides travelled to Queanbeyan last Saturday for their First Trial of the season against Monaro Panthers.

Even with the kick-off times times delayed to 5pm & 7pm the conditions were stifling with the 7pm match getting underway with the mercury still nudging 39 degrees. In the early match the Blueys U23's did their best to play some decent football and were rewarded with a 3-0 victory. Goalscorers were Tyson Black, Brody Page & Omi Uchendu.

First Grade was a fairly even affair won by the home side 2-1. Caleb Grace was the goalscorer with a well taken goal.
