LIFE MEMBERS

Since the reformation of the club in 1968 there have been 17 persons made Life Member of Tarrawanna Blueys FC. They are as follows:
 

Mr Billy Glancy inducted in 2023.

Mr David Naylor inducted in 2022.


Mr Ross Emerton played Junior and Senior Soccer for Tarrawanna. Ross was instrumental in reforming the club in 1968 and helped develop the Tarrawanna Oval in the 1970’s. Ross first become a committee member in 1964 and has held many positions including President for 7 years. Ross has coached many junior teams for Tarrawanna and women’s teams for Tarrawanna and other Clubs. Ross was a made life member in 1975. (Current committee member)

Mr David Poole played Senior Soccer for Tarrawanna after migrating from England. He was one of Ross and Ken’s best signings for the newly reformed Tarrawanna Soccer Club. David become a committee member in 1970 and served as Treasurer for 8 years. He helped developed the Tarrawanna Oval in the 1970s. David was made a life member in 1979. (*Deceased) 

Mr Gerry Anzolin joined Tarrawanna in the early 1970s on the committee. He helped develop the Tarrawanna Oval in the 1970s and was a gate keeper for many years. Gerry was made a life member 1983. (*Deceased) 

Mr Michael Grant migrated from England and played with South Coast United and then subsequently played and coached Senior Soccer for Tarrawanna. Michael joined the committee in 1977 and served as President for 4 years and Secretary for 1. He has held many other positions and was made a life member in 1985.

Mr Steven Dwyer played seniors for Tarrawanna and joined the committee in 1978. Steven served as President and has helped maintain the ground and prepares the ground surface for match days. Steven was made a life member in 1994.

Mrs Bea Tomlinson joined Tarrawanna after being with Bulli. Bea served as Secretary for 13 years and Treasurer for 3 years. Bea was made a life member in 1988.

Mr David King played Junior and Senior Soccer for Tarrawanna. David was part of the reforming the club in 1968. David first become a committee member in 1969, and coached many junior teams and was a team manager of many teams. David was made a life member in 1996.

Mr Phillip Porter played junior soccer for Tarrawanna. He joined Tarrawanna seniors in the mid 1970s as manager of youth grade. He became a committee member in 1979 and held many executive positions including President for 7 years, Secretary for 14 years and Treasurer for 4 years. He was made a life member in 1996.  (*Deceased)

Mrs Margot Naylor joined Tarrawanna in the late 1970s. She played in the Tarrawanna women’s team and served in and ran the Canteen at Tarrawanna for over 15 years. She held many other positions on the committee and was made a life member in 1998.  Margot was also on the Illawarra Soccer Association Women’s Committee and is also a life member of that association.

Mr Lex Mclean joined the Tarrawanna Soccer Club in the early 1990s. He served as Treasurer for 10 years and served in the canteen for many years. Lex was made a life member in 2000.  (*Deceased)

Mr Garry Fernie played Junior and Senior Soccer for Tarrawanna. Garry coached many Junior and senior teams having great success. Garry was made a life member in 2002.

Mr Ken Landrigan played Junior and Senior Soccer for Tarrawanna. Ken first joined the committee in 1973 and was instrumental in reforming the club in 1968 and helped develope the Tarrawanna Oval in the 1970s. He coached many Tarrawanna Junior teams, teams for other clubs and was a great supporter of the club. Ken was made a life member in 2002.  (*Deceased)

Mr James Glancy played Junior Soccer for Tarrawanna before going on to play over 200 Senior games over 10years. James subsequently joined the committee and has held many positions including President for 3 years. James was made a life member in 2005. (* Deceased)

Mr Steven Naylor played Junior Soccer for Tarrawanna. Steven joined Tarrawanna Seniors in the early 1990s as manager of first grade. He became a committee member in 1999 and has held many positions including President since 2008. Steven was made a life member in 2008. 

Mr Doug Seymour joined the Club in 1999 as Reserve Grade Coach and subsequently also joined the committee and has held many positions as well as working tirelessly behind the scenes in looking after ground maintenance and preparation.  Doug was made a life member in 2012. (Current committee member)

Mr Wayne Settree began supporting the Blueys in the mid 70's with a passion that typically sees Wayne at every match home and away. He became actively involved as a Volunteer with the Club in the late 90's when he organised & looked after the Ball Boys on Match Days. Since 2003 until the current day, Wayne has been our BBQ master chef, cooking in all weather extremes, carrying out this very hard to fill critical role with pleasure and pride.  Wayne was made a life member in 2016.

Mr Phil Scott began playing for the Blueys in 1977 and in a 'one club' career, played for 17 seasons notching up 350 Senior Games before bringing the close on a stellar career in 1994. In his time in a Blue Shirt, Phil played in a winning IPL Grand Final side as well as three (3) Bert Bampton Cup Final triumphs. 'Spud' as he is affectionately known became the first player to have the Honour of Life Membership bestowed upon him in 2016.
